Reading Is Fundamental

Community Partnership

We are honored to partner with Reading Is Fundamental (RIF), the nation's leading children's literacy nonprofit, in bringing hope to children facing critical illness through the gift of reading.

Through this partnership, RIF donates brand-new books for our Courage Baskets, helping children in hospitals discover comfort, courage, and joy during some of life's most difficult moments. We believe that every story has the power to transport a child beyond the walls of a hospital room, easing stress and anxiety while providing a sense of normalcy, imagination, and hope throughout their treatment journey.

In addition to supporting our Courage Baskets, RIF provides families, educators, and caregivers with outstanding free literacy resources, including thousands of reading activities, book guides, author resources, and a digital library filled with ebooks and educational video field trips that children can enjoy anywhere.
